Everyone knows that one person (or two or three or more) who goes a bit off the wall and is a bit theatrical when it comes to who or what they worship. Prime example of this is a personal one: I worked at a mall once and someone in the mall claimed to be Lillith reborn and one dude who also worked at the mall was completely into it. I’m not sure if he was just trying to get in her pants by simping for her or not, but story still stands.
Anyway, so goes the story for industrial metal band Gillsaw whose most recent single follows a man’s descent into madness. During this time he conjures a deity named Rizen who he believes is real. Ah, the looneys. They’re great, aren’t they? You can decide for yourself by streaming the music video below.
Gillsaw is an official one-man-band with the mastermind being Jole Gills. His passion for drumming and sonic experimentations was born through a lot of acts like Ministry, NIN, Devin Townsend, and Tool while also having the time to explore experimental works from Sleeptime Gorilla Museum, cinematic scores from Danny Elfman, and new age artists like Steve Roach.
