Patriarchy Release Music Video / Single Boy on a Leash

Patriarchy is on a ROLL. Previous announcements notwithstanding, they’ve just released their brand-new single / music video for Boy on a Leash which is the lead single from their forthcoming album Manual for Dying. This is but the start of Patriarchy’s Summer of Singles where they’ll be releasing one single each month until the full album debuts in September 2025.

This also marks their collaboration with George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow who wanted to team up with the duo after they told him of their new album. What began as a song performed live and fine-tuned over the course of one-hundred performances became a studio single that the trio are passionate about. You can stream the music video below.

Boy on a Leash is our first creation that we let bleed-out onstage before reanimating it in the studio. She started as a block of marble that we all chiseled at together, spanning a year of sweaty, screaming shows. After much begging and pleading, we now offer to you this anthem of authority: the first chapter in Manual for Dying, our new full length album coming this Fall. -Patriarchy
