Miss FD Releases Single and Video for Curse Breaker

There are few artists in the nether realm who I trust no matter which direction they move into and Miss FD is one of them amongst more well known artists such as HEALTH and Poppy – genre not related. Her last couple of releases leaned toward electronic and cyberpunk and generally something I find myself working out to on a weekly basis but as soon as I saw the teasers for this song I knew we were heading back into a period piece. And that’s true as Curse Breaker sees Miss FD tapping into chamber pop and goth.

Her dress and attire wouldn’t be out of place in Nosferatu and I wouldn’t be shocked if she had the titular vampire outside of her window one night shouting at her and begging her to be his lifemate even though he’s crusty as hell and needs a new outfit and definitely needs to tone up those legs. Getting a bit more intimate and in theme with the video and colors we have to discuss director Tas Limur who originated in Bangladesh. Through his lens does Miss FD explore light and dark as duality for mankind and opposing forces and “complexities and polarities of existence”. As far as I’m concerned it’s a good song with good visuals that’s worth watching.

In other grand news Miss FD will be opening up for Bestial Mouths and Ultra Sunn on March 28th, 2025 in Miami, FL at Gramps which is pretty dope. That’s a show that I’d go to if I was down there and I think you should too.
