King Yosef Announces New Album Spire of Fear

King Yosef’s industrial hardcore nature and visceral and violent vox were first showcased to me when he collaborated with the enigmatic duo Youth Code and since then he’s been on my radar. On his own he’s a powerhouse of industrial ferocity leading the pack of modern industrial acts and has a league with the likes of HEALTH, 3TEETH, Poppy, and Author & Punisher. And if you can’t tell by my rant above I just really, really like his music and have blasted many of his songs during my gym sessions.

Thus there is perfect news awaiting for those who are just like me and have fallen for the punchy hardcore charm King Yosef has been dishing out to the masses as he has announced that his brand-new album Spire of Fear will be released on August 15th via record label Bleakhouse. An official music video for the single Molting Fear can be streamed directly below.

Speaking on the single King Yosef stated this: The idea of this song was to try to push the King Yosef thing as far as I possibly could, without any guitars. There’s no traditional instrumentation on this, other than drums. I wanted to make something where it got bigger in a shorter span of time than anything I’ve done before. It was about blurring the lines of ‘what is this instrument, what is that sound,’ and taking it to a very terrifying place.

King Yosef has stated that his previous album An Underlying Hum was about the past, while Spire of Fear addresses the present and future. He comments: After An Underlying Hum, I answered a lot of my own questions and then had to look forward and figure out what navigating the rest of my life was about. Turns out, it’s about showing up, being accountable and not turning away from the things that I fear, because the implications of turning away are far worse than the fear.

Spire of Fear is out August 15th, 2025 and can be pre-ordered HERE.
