Frau Knotz is bringing pink and bubble wrap to the party with her brand-new EP Digital Plastic Surgery. The pink part is at least true and I only included the bubble wrap as that’s what I can see in the cover art for the EP. Sadly, Frau Knotz themed bubble wrap is not available for purchase. Pity.
In any even her new EP is a five-track collection of various instrumental and techno dance beats influenced by IDM, a bit of INDVSTRIAL, synthpop, so on and so forth. The digital album can be streamed below.
Frau Knotz describes her EP better than anyone else can. She stated: I see this EP as the sonic equivalent to ‘The Breakfast Club’ – it’s an unlikely grouping of quirky characters that form unexpected bonds and reveal their inner selves.” Mixed and mastered by Sam Johnson at Rhythm Ace Studio, Digital Plastic Surgery is a richly diverse EP that serves as part one of a double-EP project. It dives deep into the many corners of electronica, drawing from unexpected wells of inspiration and is shaped by a relentless creative drive to forge something emotionally resonant and sonically bold in a focused window of time.
