I’m no expert on industrial music. Which is funny when you look at the site and what I write about but quiz me on the history of industrial music and what album was released when and the most influential figures in the scene and I’ll probably stare at you cross-eyed and laugh as I get everything wrong. But, hell, at least I’m not a gatekeeping elitist telling all the younglings to stay off my lawn. So you can imagine my lack of knowledge when it comes to a genre that I don’t even listen to. Case in point punk music. Specifically Ebba Grön who I had to Google just to figure out who they were thanks to Swedish EBM act CK 37’s cover the single.
The Swedish band doesn’t take themselves seriously; they basically describe themselves as three aging dudes who heavily enjoy EBM (but their joints don’t). Anyway, they just released a cover of Swedish punk act Ebba Grön’s song 800° and it sounds rather good. On the B-side of the single is a remix of Svett by Punch Reverse. Get your painkillers ready to oil up those joints because you may want to stomp a bit. Stream it below.
