Electro-industrial phenomenon Fix8:Sed8 is taking that little number 8 and making it into a symbol for his newest album rather than just a clever way of making the title of his project sound more INDVSTRIAL. No, the clever electro-industrial mastermind has decided that the 8 will stand for infinity representing how organized religion promises an eternal life to their followers in an attempt to control them. Thus the title of his latest album becomes Octagram.
But the fun doesn’t stop there as Fix8:Sed8 has also made each and every single song on the album eight minutes or longer but never stepping over the threshold into the nine-minute mark. And you wanna know how many songs on are on the album? If you guessed anything other than eight you’re not the brightest.
On another front, Fix8:Sed8 is also stepping away from the normal song structure in an attempt to be more experimental and playful. This, to me, is a necessity if your songs are going to be so long. Good on him. What I find most interesting is that there will be quotes from people who were about to receive the death sentence. Eternal life and death, yin and yang, so on and so forth.
Octagram comes out on October 3rd, 2025 in digital and CD formats.
