Slighter Releases New Album In Ruins

Cinematic industrial artist Slighter…Actually, you know what, I’m gonna skip the intro jank and just get right into it. Slighter has been on a tear for the past couple of years with albums such as This Futile Engine, remixes from the likes of _the boundless_, and one off singles such as RBT becoming hits with both fans and critics alike. Slighter began to tease his brand-new album in early 2025 with Fatigue collaboration single EDGEBOI. That alone garnered considerable discussion and, after another couple of singles, we have IN RUINS in hand.

The thirteen-track digital album is a smorgasbord of electronic antics featuring all things Slighter. An album of elaborate layers and themes that can be both abstract and direct. Among the collaborations is the aforementioned punchy club track Edgeboi featuring Fatigue, the oddly wobbly and warping ‘Stories to Tell’ featuring Craig Joseph Huxtable, and the dark, cyberpunk-y ‘Vulture’ featuring Ian Pickering.

In Ruins is available on all major digital streaming services including Bandcamp.

Editor-in-Chief. Been writing for this site since 2012. Worked my way up to the top now I can't be stopped. I love industrial and dark electronic music which is why I'm so critical of it.
