vProjekt - MINIVIEW: Parallel Commands
This new EP from Cyber Post Punk musician vProjekt is set as a teaser to his forthcoming album due out in October "Wounds In The Age Of Healing". As the sole member of the project, Eugene Nesci has already stated that his sound will change in accordance to his development to fuel his creative desires. This probably means that what is teased through "Parallel Commands" might not benefit past fans, but it certainly is rocking my morning.
'Strict Command' serves as the lead single and will appear on "Wound in the Age of Healing". With more rock influenced vocals that still keep digital alteration, the lead track is quite a catchy cyber rock tune. 'Parallel Galaxy' is Nesci's own mix on "Narrow Galaxy", which will also be found on the new album. Adhering to a bit of a slow moving, EBM track, the song is technically surprising. Also available on this EP are a Haujobb remix, which would otherwise be exclusive to the CD, and a Ruinizer remix not found on the album. Haujobb turns the song into a generally heavier direction, pumping it out for dancefloors, and Ruinizer just does his crazy dubstep addled, industrial mesh that has turned up some of the greatest remixes I've ever heard.
After these four tracks, you could say that I'm more than pleased, if a bit cautious and that's only because I want to see if the rest of the album can hold up to this. Until then, I'm sure "Parallel Commands" will be playing in my personal selection for quite some time.

info@brutalresonance.comI've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
