Hallows : Despite Those Times

OUT OF 10

Emerging from the shadow folds of Los Angeles, Hallows conjures yet another haunting exploration of the human psyche set to a visual statement designed to resonate with the lost souls looking to grasp on to something that connects with them or simply unveils a calling to embrace an alternative view. This is the beauty of story telling that Hallows has cemented as their calling card. This way of connecting with their audiences is seemingly the perfect approach with the tendrils of creation reaching out in all directions pulling us into the storyline, challenging us to find a way to connect the message to our own individual patterns of existence. It becomes more than a song, it is a moving picture portraying the self-destructive behavior we either reject or embrace. Hallows has a rich catalogue of killer cuts, and this track is no exception. In fact Despite Those Times may be one of the best tracks Dom and Vanee have ever created. Regardless of the video effect, this track hits hard with bass power and solid a BPM count. The video is a sweet bonus, complete with seductive rubber/latex outfits that portray the metaphors that drive the theme of surrendering to an unknown temptation fueled by human frailty draped in a lingering dissonance. Make it your own!
