Swedish EBM artist Emmon releases new single Decisions

Though I am far away from Sweden the site has a long-standing history with the country considering that our founder Patrik (ave Patrik!) resides in the country and is a native there. That being said I am quite disconnected with the music that’s being released over there aside from VALHALL and Spark! and maybe one or two others that I’m forgetting about right now. That being said there is a treasure trove of hidden artists in the country that need to be talked about. One said artist that I’ve just discovered is Emmon who is described as an EBM queen. I’m not too sure about ALL of that but I can say that she creates some damned good stompy electronic music.

She is the topic of discussion today as she has made a comeback as with a couple of singles including her most recent titled Decisions. While I could speak on the single, I think the words from Emmon herself ring louder than anything I could possibly say. She states: Decisions was one of the very first tracks we created for the new album, and it has largely remained in its original form since the day we wrote it — except for some added tonal percussion created in collaboration with Jukka Rintamäki (Silverbullit, The Northern East). We even kept the vocals from the original demo recordings.

Decisions comes off of her forthcoming album ICON which is due out on October 17th. The album promises a rawer sound compared to that of humanity’s nature and has a couple of collaborations with the likes of Majestoluxe, Jukka Rintamäki, Person:A, and Emanuel Åström (Agent Side Grinder). You can also catch Emmon live at the following shows.

October 17 – Skeppet, Gothenburg – with special guests, the French darkwave duo Denuit
October 18 – Klubb Död, Stockholm – alongside Denuit and British electro artist Nights in Athens

Editor-in-Chief. Been writing for this site since 2012. Worked my way up to the top now I can't be stopped. I love industrial and dark electronic music which is why I'm so critical of it.
