Calling yourself Industrial Synth Crust doesn’t sound that great to me; in fact, any act that labels themselves as a crust act makes me think that they don’t know how to shower or bathe and haven’t changed their underwear in quite some time. My bereavement with genre terminology aside, Australian Industrial Synth Crust solo artist Schkeuditzer Kreuz is back with an album announcement, a tour announcement, and even a video.
Swan Grinder is the name of the project’s latest offering and combines a bunch of their off-brand raw and inorganic noise into an eight track offering. Influenced by punk as they were on all their other albums, Schkeuditzer Kreuz is offering the album in both digital and limited edition vinyl formats, with the latter being the one to get considering it comes with a Remix CD and a patch. Schkeuditzer Kreuz megafans rejoice.
The project has also just debuted their music video for Sirens of Death via CVLT Nation. But we’re sharing it here as well. You can check it out below.
Speaking on the single Schkeuditzer Kreuz had this to say: Sirens is a relatively slow and heavy song, almost a synth version of industrial metal, albeit with some weirdness thrown in. Lyrically it takes a bleak and blunt look at the eternal war we have been a party to for as long as anyone can remember. The video tells that story with equally harsh and ugly visuals interspersed with my own vocal howls of rage.
In the final bit of fun news, Kreuz also has an upcoming 2026 tour with one-too many dates to list so just look at the poster below.
