Electro-Punks The Guilt Dance (Again) to the Revolution

There’s a couple of things that go well together and I won’t list them all like a cliché but we’re on that peanut butter and jelly vibe. Dancing and rebellious nature goes well together as art always pushes boundaries and speaks out against things that the creator(s) either don’t like or disagree with. The same could be said for electro-punk duo The Guilt who recently released a brand-new version of their single Dance to the Revolution.

Originally released in 2016 the song has always been a mainstay for the project with fans and audience members repeatedly calling for it to be played. Self-reflection came to the band following their rebirth with member Lizzy joining the line-up. Emma recalled: The production held it back — it didn’t match the energy I felt singing it. I had a very ambiguous relationship with the old version.

SO. As any band did, they spit shined the song with help from producer Alain Steffler at Cat Crossing Studio; the result is a spiced up and antic version that matches the duo’s current electro-punk sound. Both Emma and Lizzy stated: We are people pleasers. For the people by the people. Also, as Rosa said — if we can’t dance, it’s not our revolution.
