One of the hottest topics artists just can’t seem to get away from is the use of AI. And for good measure; it seems more and more AI is taking over human spaces. Some find it appalling, some find AI a grand tool to be used, while others fully embrace the AI revolution and consider themselves AI artists. I never touched too far into the argument but Ceremony Shadows has their say on it in their new single Future Past Collapse.
They stated: We were wondering if we will come to feel (or are already feeling) nostalgic towards human technology, especially as AI technology rises and displaces much of what has made us human up until this point in our history as a species. Humanity is about to be augmented, if not replaced in certain ways, by AI technology. We wrote “Future Past Collapse” to examine this sense of nostalgia.
Ceremony Shadows is a Darkwave band based out of Portland, OR in the USA whose geographical upbringing spans to Germany and Poland. They’ve accumulated comparisons to breakthrough acts such as Boy Harsher, The Knife, Kite, and legends such as Depeche Mode and Coil.
