'Brain-Dead' sees digital release by Josie Pace
Josie Pace, one of the rising stars on underground alternative record label Negative Gain Productions, has released 'Brain-Dead' for digital streaming. Previously attainable only on the CD version of Pace's alum "IVOX10V5", fans brought a battering ram to Pace's doorstep (metaphorically speaking, that is) demanding the single be released. Pace explained:
After the 40 date North American tour with Aesthetic Perfection, we were bombarded with requests to release “Brain-dead” digitally on all streaming platforms. We decided to remix and remaster the song into a single version. The single version of "Brain-dead" is polished and gritty with a droning and unsettling French ending.
'Brain-Dead' was written with trauma response and mental illness in mind. How when disassociation hits, it hits hard, and it feels like nothing can be done about it; how you feel everything and nothing at the same time, like an immovable object meeting an unstoppable force. Pace tries to reflect those thoughts into music through waving froths of quietness and rage within 'Brain-Dead'. You can stream it below or at one of the following links.

info@brutalresonance.comI've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
