Lynette Cerezo has proven time and time again to be one of my favorite modern industrial / gothic artists in the scene under her project BESTIAL MOUTHS. The tribal drums, her witchy vocals, and the aesthetic brought forth from BESTIAL MOUTHS is stunning, to say the very least. Which is why I am happy to have had the chance to finally speak to her face to face on a special mid-week episode of the Brutal Resonance Podcast. We talk about her brand-new album “R.O.T.T. (inmyskin)” as well as the myriad of animals we have had as pets both past and present. You can watch the interview in its entirety directly below:

Bestial Mouths has also shared their most recent music video for ‘Vast Murmur’ which is taken off their forthcoming album. Cerezo spoke of ‘Vast Murmur’ and stated this:

We’re all born with open minds and open hearts—agog at a vast world with so much potential, hope and awe. Yet life is entropy, each year tarnishing wonders, dulling tastebuds, clouding our eyes. Life takes, always. Defense becomes second nature, our emotions become beautiful weapons against the cruelties of the world and the people within it, always taking, always wanting, no matter what the cost. The universe we build inside ourselves is as real as the one outside; perhaps one day we might become so flayed by the outer that the inner will gush forth, raw and perfect.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
