Fun Fact: Her Noise is Violence, multi-disciplined DJ extraordinaire and Brutal Resonance Records collaborator, isn’t just a techno producer. Housed underneath that bass exterior is something sinister and noisy and…It’s noise. It’s noise. For as long as I’ve known the moniker of Her Noise is Violence I’ve also known her to be a huge enthusiast of noise music. Some might find it polarizing that an artist releases music on opposite ends of the spectrum but I find it delightful. It’s as if Two-Face from the Batman universe gave up being a criminal and decided to start releasing music instead. I feel as if this would be exactly what he would do; wrestle with his inner demons and see if he wanted to do techno or noise.
ANYWAY, Her Noise is Violence is back with a brand new noise release titled Pain Shopping. I will absolutely, one-hundred percent say that this is not my cup of tea but I know that we’ve a few followers on the site who enjoy surgery on their eardrums. This is that kind of release. Her Noise is Violence spoke on the album and had this to say:
Pain Shopping dives headfirst into the commodification of suffering, transforming rage, alienation, and vulnerability into walls of searing distortion, fractured beats, and haunting textures. This isn’t background music—it’s a confrontation, a ritual, and a release.
Pain Shopping comes out on September 28th, 2025 and is available for pre-order in both digital and limited-edition cassette formats.
