The Godhead Industrial Helvete Inc. This review was commissioned. However, it bears no weight on the score or decision. All reviews are written from an unbiased standpoint. After a minor panic attack wondering whether or not Helvete Inc. would ever see the light of again after their 2021 release “9 3 21”, I am glad to say that the Suicide Rock outfit led by the titular STR Helvete is back in full force. ‘The Godhead’ is their brand-new single doubling down on their 90s industrial rock and early 2000s influence bringing along Erik Gustafson of Adoration Destroyed fame for production and mixing and Dan Milligan of The Joy Thieves for drums. The overall product is something that I quite expect from Helvete Inc. and a bit more. The Godhead by Helvete Inc.I won’t lie when I said I wasn’t quite sold on Helvete Inc.’s initial concept with The Godhead; his strained voice has worked in the past but here it was a bit off-beat in the beginning of the song. Around the thirty-second mark I don’t think it was quite gelling with the general vibe of the song and lost me a bit. However, once the deep and guttural chorus hit I was floored. This quick burst of noisy industrial rock is filled to the brim with feedback, dark and ominous synths, and basslines that ought to get your gothic feet moving in those big black boots.  The three-minute length also meant that I played it three or four times in a row whilst driving my little blue car to work while slapping my steering wheel. And if a song can get me to abuse my personal property then it is a winner in my book.  450

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
