Fleisch - Workout

You know, as someone who enjoys going into the gym, getting sweaty, and pumping iron, it's good to know that bands around the world are making music specifically curated for people like me. Least I hope that's the message that industrial metal project Fleisch is putting out with their brand-new single 'Workout' cause this slamming, bamming piece of music is exactly what I need to get pumped - even if it isn't perfect.
There’s a very small intro with a decent bassline and some cute little electronic notes that play for around twenty-seconds before booming guitar comes slamming into the song. You may look at Fleisch and see the pink headbands and wristbands and white workout outfits and think that they’re not ready for a workout, but I’m about to get a matching outfit and headbang to this song. It’s a fun, fast, and frenetic track perfect for the gym, ready to get moving. However, the vocals are EXTREMELY buried in the mix and I kind of think that this song would have been better suited as a strict instrumental track. But, if it was, then we wouldn’t get the sexual innuendos that begin with the first lyric that states, “I’ve got a dirty mind and I don’t care.” Wait, is this song really about working out?
‘Workout’ comes off of Fleisch’s third forthcoming LP which is due on December 2024. Brace yourselves.

info@brutalresonance.comI've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
