Zwaremachine, headed by founder Mach Fox, have released a brand new cover of Ministry's infamous 'Effigy'. Mach Fox and bassist Dbot used to perform 'Effigy' live as the band Mach FoX in the mid-2000s. It swiftly became a crowd favorite. 2021 saw Dbot provide a new instrumental track so they could make it their own. Mach Fox decided to present the vocals in his own style, which they describe as a "RevCo covering Ministry vibe." Rounding out the cover is Syn Thetic of the band Malice Machine who added guitar to the song. You can stream / purchase the cover below.

In similar news, Mach FoX (the band) will be releasing their new EP on December 1st. Dbot and Mach Fox wrote the songs and mixed them at The Terrarium Recording Studio with Jason Orris. The songs were originally outtakes from Zwaremachine's "Conquest 3000" album. The band, feeling that the songs didn't fit within Zwaremachine's sound, took them for Mach FoX's doompop style. You can purchase / stream it below:

In the last bit of new, Mach Fox has founded a brand new side-project titled Fox Nova Project with Craig Saunders (Nova State Machine, Novakill). Both persons are known for their work within the electro-industrial, EBM, and other aggressive synth genres. This project allows them to freely experiment with sounds that are not normally used within their main projects. Their debut EP, "The Haunted The Hunted", released in October of 2021 and contains remixes from Live Evil Productions, Blue Ant, and HOSTILE ARCHITECT.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
