Ceremony Shadows wasn't always plural. Perhaps they were, at one point, Ceremony Shadow as the founder of the project Timo began it as a solo ambient / experimental gig. The extra shades came in when Anastasiia and Jakub came in as vocalists. And, voila, Ceremony Shadows become a trio. Their collective knowledge of alternative music scenes and culture spans across USA, Germany, and Poland. They've even had one of their ambient works 'Holy Water' featured at the Sonic Matter experimental music festival in Zurich, Sweden. Ain't that something?

Bypassing history and coming into the modern day, Ceremony Shadows has just released their brand-new single titled 'Impetus'. Self-describing themselves as ritual darkwave, it's going to be up to you whether or not the single fits the theme. The single is available on all major digital streaming platforms. You can stream it via Bandcamp directly below.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
