Signals Industrial Rock The Fair Attempts In comparison to their previous, thrashy industrial rock single 'Wide-Open Little Heart', The Fair Attempts latest single 'Signals' is a slower paced track focused on beat-making. The open, dribbling bassline opens up into an modern electro-industrial beat complete with subtle and almost-subliminal glitchy notes throughout the track. Friendly Timo's vocals flirt back and forth between in-your-face but stern lyricism to quieter, off-kilter vocals. The song is also a great length, lasting four-minutes and nine seconds. It's not one second too long nor does it overstay its welcome. In fact, it welcomes me back warmly instead. 'Signals' marks the third single off of The Fair Attempts upcoming album which is also named "Signals". The Fair Attempts have also rolled out the red carpet for this single. They released a music video alongside of it which features Friendly Timo in traditional goth garbs and messy face paint, a gas mask, and another face breathing fire. You can check it out below: 'Signals', as mentioned above, is a wonderful track that gives further insight into what The Fair Attempts are going to be doing with their next album. It's one that won't be a constant, in-your-face jam session; it'll be a great mix of variously influenced songs. This single gets a swell seven-and-a-half out of ten! This review was commissioned through our Ko-fi page. 450

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
