Unexpected Dark Electro, Harsh EBM Stahlnebel & Black Selket 'Unexpected' is the debut album by German/Dutch band Stahlnebel & Black Selket which features no less than twelve songs (not included intro and outro songs) and a CD with some remixes and collaboration songs. So what kind of music is this you might ask? Well it's a mix of dark electro and EBM. You got the heavy beats and melodies that sound a little bit of trance inspired and then you got the pretty clear vocals with just a little touch of distortion. I'm going to be honest and say that it isn't original BUT it's really good and there is no need for any originality here . You got some really solid songs here like "Devil's Army", "Unexpected" and my favorite song "Storm". I really love Ralph's dark distorted vocals against the melodies while the drums beat like a war machine. There are some songs that I don't really enjoy and that seem a bit dull compared to the others. Examples of those are "Dead Man" and "Sick World" not really bad songs just not very good ones either. In anyway this album is going to be a real floor shaker for sure! 450
