There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood Dark Ambient Simulacra There are so many wonders in the world to remember, that people from the very ancient times tried to capture them somehow. They where using different kinds of crafts, like painting, sculpturing, composing or any other expression of creativity. But what was a real state of art, is simulacra, as an effort to bring the certain thing into the art, but with a personal view that can be seen only from the different perspective. One guy, whose name is Miguel Boriau and is the founder of well-known label NOTHingness Records, decided to bring his own simulacra into the world of dark ambient music. It should seem very difficult to share something new with the lovers of this style, which discovers drones, hums and sudden industrial sounds for the last 30 years. Though sometimes you don’t need to invent anything, but to exploit well trodden techniques in order to prevail. The album that goes by the name 'There is a Fountain Filled with Blood' was built around the conceptual idea of the "bloody fountain" as an "origin of death" to which all of us yearn during our lives. The atmosphere of this composition is filled with solitude, in which we salute the fountain in the end of the tunnel and inevitability of forthcoming. Five fragments of one solid plot entwine into the canvas of sorrow that covers listener with the shroud of death. The minimalistic form of ambiance is still powerful here, as soon as it is created by deep underground drones and wide slowly moving atmospheres. 45 minutes of dark soundscapes, where no gleam can light the monolithic wall of sadness. The result of this journey into the world of oblivion is the feeling of a goal fulfilled and Miguel showed us the simulacra in one good piece of dark ambient music. 450
