Prospective - Perfect Evolution of Humanity

Prospective is a German dark electro band formed in 2006 by Carola Müller and Marco Thomaschewski. They released their debut album 'The Dark Side of Life' in 2008 and now they are back with their second album 'Perfect Evolution of Humanity'.
Prospective is your typical female voice driven dark electro with steady industrialized beats. The album contains 8 new tracks and 5 remixes by bands like Lost Area amongst others. Carola's voice is great and she's hold this album up and the music is good and does its job, but I sometimes feels like it is a bit paralyzed. It could happen a lot more on the music part to make it more interesting. The music part has some upsides, in the third track "Lovely Cruel Punisher" for an example, where the melody in the chorus really helps to lift it all. That track is also my favourite track on the album by the way. But most of the time the music is just... there.
'Perfect Evolution of Humanity' is a good album overall. The first three tracks are of good quality and the fourth song that also is the album title is really showing off Carola's skills. There's actually emotions showing, which some artists don't manage to show at all.
If Prospective keeps evolving and keep working on it, their third album could be great. May 21 2010
