Menticide Electro, Electrorock Miss FD This review was commissioned through Ko-fi. However, it bears no weight on the score or decision. All reviews are written from an unbiased standpoint. With the subject of Miss FD’s latest single ‘Menticide’ focusing on brainwashing by means of a systematic consciousness wipe, it’s only appropriate that she tackles chiptune. Continuing her venture in cyberpunk avenues and storytelling while discussing modern social issues, Miss FD utilizes games – virtual or otherwise – as a means to wrap her electro and synthpop flavors into a digital era. While her previous cyberpunk themed singles have focused on heavy bass and darksynth influences, ‘Menticide’ finds her focusing on textures and softer percussive elements. Her voice, as always, is on point and flawless. ‘Menticide’ is an extremely fun, bouncing track that could have easily fit in ‘They Live’ – to an extent. Seven-and-a-half out of ten. Menticide by Miss FD 450

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
