Two Faces Dark Electro Last Influence of Brain Last Influence of Brain have been on the music scene since 1999 and top their latest work with the 2009 album with 'Two Faces'. This album brings back the edgy darkness into the alternative scene with a solid 12 track album which resonates countless routes of more old school EBM and Industrial music while maintaining an ever-present modern electro feel. Fans of Skinny Puppy will easily enjoy this album. The vocals on the album vary from clear spoken to distorted science-fiction voices which really set this piece as dynamic so each track feels individual and refreshing. Tracks which stand out the most to me are "Judgement", "Revolution", "Your Destiny" and "Three Holes", "Three Holes" being a very spooky track indeed! However, while this album does hold artistic style, mesmerizing vocals and strong lyrics, I feel that the vocals on certain parts of a few individual tracks are letting the tracks down. It may just be me but I have to put it out there. The music also, while strong and consistent, feels slightly outdated to me, again it's down to personal preference. I'm sure that a future release will be a massive hit going on the quality of this album, they're certainly due a new release. But it isn't all negative, I'm just being picky; the album is consistent and there are no 'real' flaws musically, it provides track by track and Last Influence of Brain are surely underrated for the standard of this album and their previous work. Definitely worth checking out, it's growing on me and a few tracks in particular are really powerful so this album comes with a heavy recommendation to everyone reading. That includes you. 450
