Audio Mythology Two Dark Ambient, Industrial Inade I truly believe that there are different levels of art development and music is not an exception with all of its diversity. There are countless embodiments of sounds existing all around, carrying energy, efforts and emotions of the people in all their simplicity and complexity. Each of those who try to express themselves through music tries to do it in a unique and creative way whether in an overture for dozens of instruments or two-three basic sounds driven in some kind of a structure. But the ultimate art of sound exists out of bounds of human imagination and the true genius is behind the ability to perceive it and to transfer it into a physical incarnation understood by wider audience. When I try to draw parallels between what I think is the true phenomenon of extramundane existence of specific ideas and their manifestation in the physical world, I cannot pass by without mentioning certain theories which were described in the past inside occult vision of Dark Gods and their habitat. According to tradition, the Dark Gods are actual entities which exist in the acausal universe. Since our consciousness is partly acausal by its nature, these entities can become manifest for us if we possess the keys to reach the appropriate levels of consciousness. This aspect is mostly hidden and magical awakening initiation is needed to open a gate or wire into the acausal. The theory became adopted by the modern occult culture as well and is often associated with the Path of Left Hand when both terms of Left-Hand Path and Right-Hand Path refer to a dichotomy between two opposing approaches found in Western eroticism, which itself covers various groups involved in the occult and ceremonial magic. But I would like to tell you a secret right now. There is no need in a long and painstaking search for the keys to this mysterious world because if you concentrate your attention on the dark ambient scene, you will definitely notice this precious artifact in the form of Leipzig based Inade. Without any doubt, this German duo is a true conductor of the voice of Eternity, a navel-cord which bounds a transcendental existence with reality. For more than twenty years the talent charged by the energy from outer spheres allows them to be a kind of a "scoop-net" for the sound which germinates in the tender hands of the Dark Gods. During last few years Inade brought to our consideration several compilations from different periods of their activity when "Audio Mythology Two" is the second part of the saga presenting eight compositions, focusing on re-structured session material (1997-2011), V.A. compilation tracks (2006-2009, partly re-worked) and finalized studio recordings of live backing tracks (2012-2013). From the very first tunes Inade strike with their sharp and polished sound. "The Gods Script" is a kind of an introduction composition to set the proper atmosphere before the main gate opening ritual. Mysterious rising and fading hum fills the air inside my room, tension is being set to its highest level. The second track "The Collision of Conscience" is a quintessence of all the best elements which I love with Inade. Deep background textures, tribal percussion, wide atmosphere, each and every part simply cries out loud: "I am THE ultimate power". With "The Revelation Lies Hidden" the music takes a little break concentrating on a slow hypnotic drift towards "Babylon Encoded" where the listener in being thrown in the middle of the ritual with a very oppressive atmosphere, dense chanting, dark layers of different special effects rising images of the Dark Gods in their amorphous essence. A ghostly shadow touches my shoulder softly but persistently, whispering three words into my ears: "Virescit Volnere Virtus" - vigor grows through a wound. And indeed, with each step forward my spirit becomes stronger and closer to its origin, feeling the true twilight of idols guided by a ritual drum and an extremely wide ambience of the fifth composition of Inade. After more than ten minutes of intense treatment, it's time for my consciousness to fall into "A Symmetric Dream", where the sound reaches the point of almost meditative level. A slow track full of mystery, full of nameless fear crawling under the cover of the darkest hour of the night challenges a courageous soul on its quest to the gate of acausal universe. As you can see, the music of Inade is very symbolic in its origin and it is important to understand all the symbolism behind to feel it in its depth. Before the spirit reaches a cherished destination, it has to path through "Kybalion", a Mental Transmutation which refers to the art of changing and transforming one's own mental states and conditions. Dark drones keep rolling forward slowly; some choral singing joins the structure somewhere by the end of the track supported by different scratches together with a splashing rhythm. The opus finishes with "Three Million Minds" in which the wondering soul finally joins the upper spheres enlightened by eternal wisdom. To say that I am impressed by this new compilation of two German gentlemen is to say nothing. The balance between the tracks, their length, ambience, depth of the subject, the highest level of performance, all those elements merge together inside "Audio Mythology Two" to create the best compilation of this duo so far. Even if I am quite familiar with the material itself, the mixture of the records from different periods of their carrier flows out very naturally like it had been recorded during the same session. No doubt, I would recommend this CD to all the fans of intelligent and ritualistic dark ambient. The masters are back, welcome the reign of the Dark Gods. 550

Inade - Audio Mythology Two
