Evil Cowards - Covered in Gas
Evil Cowards is the mix between Tyler Spencer from Electric Six (you remember "Gay Bar" and "Danger! High Voltage", right?) and William Bates from Fall On Your Sword. To me this band is like a retarded poet, you have the mentally disadvantaged kid that think everything is fun and everyday is a new adventure and you mix this with the poets sense to combine words. This is simply nothing less than a truly a genius combination.
Right at the first track "Love Pigs" you get the playful, poppy and fun electric rock pop tunes combined with great lyrics that swift and swirl. You get smart, fun and poetic, right at once. It continue like this with the tracks with the sexy disco tune "Sex Wars", pop refrains of "500 Ways" and "Soldiers of Satan", yes, even in the Teddybears STHLM alike "Classon Ave Robots".
Even though the second half of the album lacks some of the flow and greatness of the first half, 'Covered in Gas' is still a 13 track long rollercoaster of pop, rock, electro, sexiness and happy retardation. May 05 2009
