Deutsch Nepal - Erotikon

Lina Baby Doll has been on the circuit for quite some time now, not content with powering to fame under this pseudonym, his other collaborations, Janitor (and the lesser known Frozen Faces), have both blossomed to masterful works of Industrial and Power Electronica.

'Erotikon' is fifty minutes of aural Viagra, working out as a blend of Psychadelic Industrial, fused with Power Electronic touches, and Martial drumbeats. Music to get an erection too. The promo even states that "Lubrication Saves!" Interestingly, it came wrapped in a pull off plastic coating. Almost like a condom itself.

Opener "U.R. Blackhouse" is a moreish piece of Industrial, spoken, chant like vocals carried over a Martial drum progression, and erotic lyrics and sound samples. It amazes me actually, the number of Post Industrial bands that have recently carried over to making Sexual themed music. Firstly, Spiritual Front, followed by O.R.E. and now of course, Deutsch Nepal.

Musically, this is in the slightly mellower category, sounding more like Janitor then anything else. I dare say this is a good thing, as the feel and echoing litanies here really do make it sound like a perfect album to fuck to. I can't make out all the lyrics, but they are deeply sexual and erotic. "Black bruises on white skin" (Heartbomb), is just one small example of the deplorable yet arousing theme.
