Epic Nightmares EBM, Electro-Industrial A.T Mödell Spanish duo A.T Mödell is back just in time to celebrate Halloween in style with their latest album "Epic Nightmares". Coming out on October 30th as a free, thirteen track digital album, "Epic Nightmares" is a wholesome package containing thirteen tracks of industrial metal and EBM shenanigans. However, the album has its spots of problems here and there. They succeed musically in the sense that the wicked synths send shivers down my spine as I listen to them, and the electronics play out in a fairly spooky sense. The vocals aren't done in an all too shabby fashion, either. They're angry, not outright distorted, but they could be a little more in line with the music. What fails here, really, is the quality of the music being produced. A.T.Modell is talented, as we've said in three other reviews, and there is high potential for this duo. However, they need to evolve past what seems to be shoddy production and really hammer it down. I can guarantee that if A.T.Modell took the time to really hone their skill in making cleaner, well produced and heard music, their albums, past and present, would be so much easier to appreciate.Again, I repeat myself when I say that A.T.Modell is a very talented duo, but I don't think they'll be able to really appeal to a wider audience until they clean themselves up a bit more. Nonetheless, if you're looking to put together a Halloween playlist, I don't think you'd be wrong in digging around for a track or two in "Epic Nightmares". Especially 'Hypno-Murder'. Definitely keep your ears plugged into that one.  350

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
