Yes, it is kind of weird to be seeing a doom/post-hardcore/metal band featured on Brutal, but the Fifth Alliance is simply different from a lot of other bands I've heard in the same scene. There's more to them than what they admit; they're an experimental band of ranging genres from ambient, doom, black metal, and pure chaos and that's what made them capture my attention so easily. Anyway, before I get to talking about this band in more detail, they've released a music video for their latest single "Your Abyss" off their album Death Poems, which is out now. 

The Fifth Alliance is a five piece band from Breda in the Netherlands consisting of: Silvia on vocals, Niels on guitar, Matthijs on guitar, Ashwin on drums, and Ruud on bass guitar. Their debut album Unvealed Secrets of Ruin released two years ago to good acclaim, with the successor release Death Poems released on CD, tape, and vinyl.
