Johan Agebjörn & Mikael Ögren have released their second collaboration together. The album, titled "Artefact", is a twelve track instrumental journey that serves as an unofficial soundtrack to Arthur C. Clarke's novel Rendezvous with Rama. Released via Spotted Peccary Music, "Artefact" is likened to that of a modern science fiction soundtrack with ambient to trance stuffed in. Collaborations on the album include Stefan Strand (Between Interval), Johan Emmoth (Le Prix), and Martina Björk.

Speaking on the collaborations, Agebjörn stated, "Stefan Strand is an old friend of mine. This is the first time we have collaborated on an original track. I love his music. Johan Emmoth is a talented musician who I got to know when we made a few tracks and remixes together in disco / synthwave style, but this is more ambient / experimental than the earlier ones."

Ögren spoke of his friend Martina Björk and said, "She managed to catch the very special, kind of sacred, ancient feeling and combined it with the almost melancholic, sad sense of abandonment that saturates the very moment of the Rama story that this song is trying to depict."

"Artefact" is available for streaming on all major digital media sites. The album can also be purchased in both digital and CD formats via Bandcamp. The duo also has a "Space Travel" EP planned for release featuring three electronic remixes on June 11th. Stay tuned for that.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
