Industrial metal project Syd.31 begs to ask the question, "Are you afraid of the dark?" with their new music video for 'Demon Night'. Dr. Magic, solo member of Syd.31, bases both this question and the song on a true story about some thing that would come into his bedroom. He explained, "I used to live in a haunted house when I was a kid. Some kind of thing that looked like an old lady would walk down the hallway and into my bedroom and just stand there.  I’d be too scared to move. I only found out years later that other people saw it too, they just didn’t tell me at the time. Thank God they didn’t." You can get chills down your spine by watching the video below:

Dr. Magic continued to talk of the event and the impact it has had on him in his adulthood. He stated, "Years later I still can’t sleep with the light out if I’m alone, I have a night-light. But it did give me an interest in the supernatural, and things I found out were called ‘shadow people’.  It wasn’t the last time I saw these things neither, but these are stories for another time."

'Demon Night' comes off of Syd.31's latest album "Machine Ready". You can purchase and stream it HERE.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
