Goth / post-punk duo Princess Ugly release new single / video 'Start Below'

Following up their previous two singles, the vampire-themed 'Hunger' and a cover of Tones On Tail's 'Go', goth / post-punk duo Princess Ugly have released their brand new single and music video 'Start Below'. Lyricist and vocalist J. Christopher Rome takes an abstract approach to writing, stating that the "lyrics are always up for interpretation by the listener" and that he "always appreciate[s] hearing what the songs mean to different people." Multi-instrumentalist Christopher Moncrieffe also chimed in and stated that the song is one of Princess Ugly's "more hypnotic and surrealistic pieces" that "evokes my lost and desperately confused feeling toward the action of many humans towards others." 'Start Below' was shot by Cat Hoffman and stars Megan Martinez. The song was recorded and mixed by Princess Ugly in Portland, Oregon and was mastered by Kevin Nettlingham in Vancouver, Washington.
