Nightcrawler made a huge impact on the synthwave scene in his early days with albums such as "Metropolis" and EPs like "Knight Rider" and "Road Blaster" becoming instant hits within the scene. While they aren't old enough to be called classics per se, I guarantee you'll find more than a few electroheads regarding singles such as 'Blood Rage' with a degree of delight. In modern times, Nightcrawler has been straying further and further away from synthwave and horrorsynth and venturing into the deeper realms of science fiction. This is shown in no greater effort than on his latest EP "Perverse Frequencies".

This five-track EP dives into cyberpunk mythology, exploring gritty and forbidden sexual rituals. Like a fever dream out of a 70s exploitation film, mixing occult video nasties with a taste of the retro future and extreme body modification, Nightcrawler is slamming home five tracks of EBM, industrial, darksynth, and cyberpunk beats. The last track on the EP 'Oxide' is a collaboration with 74 Robots, who created the cinematographic sounds found within the single, mangled and managed by Nightcrawler.

"Perverse Frequencies" is available in digital download formats, with limited-edition T-shirts and patches available as well. You can purchase it HERE.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
