You may all know well by now that Anilah is perhaps one of my favorite musical and spiritual projects out there. Not only did I review her release Warrior, but I also voted for that same album in the Album of the Year countdown. So, here we are with some news from this act.

Coming soon, a collaboration with Einar "Kvitrafn" Selvik of the musical project Wardruna for a new rendition on the song Warrior will be released.

Here's what he had to say on the matter: "Working on Anilah's beautiful song 'Warrior' has been an absolute pleasure for me. Due to my creative work with Wardruna being so time-consuming, it is very seldom that I can accept invitations to collaborate on other people?s projects. But when I was presented with the song Warrior I immediately liked it. I instantly heard and pictured myself being part of it, and so accepted the gracious invitation. I am very happy with the outcome."

Wardruna is a project that was started back in 2003 by Selvik, along with Linda Fay Hella on guitar, and Gaahl (Former frontman of Gorgoroth, currently frontman/founder of Trelldom and Gaahlskagg) on vocals. Ever since, the band has garnered a dedicated following.

For fans of the History channel TV show Vikings, you may recognize that they took part in composing the score for the second season of the show along with Trevor Morris.

Stay tuned to both artists for more information.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
