From several other online magazines with sources from headlining acts that were set to appear at Alt-Fest, news is that the gigantic, and purely boner engaging festival has been cancelled.

Acts who have been told they've been given the boot by the fest include: Marilyn Manson, Enemo J, Killing Joke, Kilgora, and Malefice amongst others.

What went wrong? No one knows for sure. There has been no official announcement made by the even organizers. Which should really change. If the even is cancelled, they need to let the fans know.

The other question remains: For those who pre-ordered the tickets, IF the festival is cancelled (Which is most likely a given), then how do they get their refunds back?

I helped with promoting the event by interviewing a few bands about the festival and they were more than excited for it. I now think their opinions might be changed.

That being said, we'll just have to wait for official word from the people behind Alt-Fest to see what's really going on.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
