Lost Outrider - "Blush"
Synthwave / retrowave project Lost Outrider has put out the first single 'Digital Cocaine' off of their upcoming album "Blush" for all the world to hear and enjoy. It's a wonderful and bright synthwave banger perfect for night drives through neon-lit cities. Plus, the anime cover-art is dope. Cucurbitophobia - 'The Sigillaria and the Summoning of Saturn'
Released in celebration of Bandcamp Friday (where the platform waives its artists' fees for the day) Cucurbitophobia has released two brand new singles titled 'The Sigillaria and the Summoning of Saturn' and 'Exordium'. Both of these singles come off of the project's upcoming LP and are available as "name your price" downloads. You can purchase / stream them directly below:
halicon - "Reticulation"
halicon, founded by Tim Krug of Hexadiode, has released the second part in his archive retrieval of older songs from an IDM project. This second batch of songs spans from 1999-2003 with all proceeds being donated to The Columbus Freedom Fund and Louisville Community Bail Fund throughout June. METADEVICE - 'Fallen Outside of Memory'
Noise, drone, industrial, and experimental music are all equal parts in the equation that makes up Portuguese project METADEVICE. They're hammering back with a brand new, sixteen minute harsh meditation called 'Fallen Outside of Memory'. You can purchase / stream the single directly below:
Elezoria - "Temporary"
Elezoria is a new artist on record label skyQode though they've been around since 2008. Their debut album "Astray" was highly acclaimed and since then the project has evolved itself to include darkwave, gothic, synthpop, and EBM into their electronic array. Rivière de Corps - "Tout est chaos"
Mixing dungeon synth, industrial, and darkwave into one gigantic, lo-fi melting pot may not be everyone's cup of tea but for those looking for pain in audio format, look no further than Rivière de Corps' new EP "Tout est chaos". Slow and brooding, this is the equivalent of doom metal if it were in electronic form. The EP will be released in both digital and limited edition cassette formats via Grande Rousse Disques and can be purchase / streamed directly below:
thewalkingicon - 'Ill for the Past'
Listening to thewalkingicon again after they contacted me many months ago brings up odd feelings of wonder; the vocals on this new song sound as if they belong to some kind of bright pop song yet the tough drumming brings about themes of EBM and industrial mechanics. This is not taking into account some of the glitch-like notes in the background and the gorgeous backing synth either. Whatever they did, it's magical and well worth a listen. DHI - 'Chosen Ruler'
DHI (or death and horror inc) is a Canadian industrial metal project who had its fair share of fame in the 1990s when their CDs were distributed worldwide and when they shared the stage with The Young Gods, Front Line Assembly, and Alien Sex Fiend. Since then they've re-released and remastered their entire discography. They are now appearing on the frontlines of Brutal Resonance due to their new single 'Chosen Ruler'; it is described as a "protest against authoritarianism, groupthink, and scapegoating. Dead Agent - "Fight Like a Robot V2"
Industrial, chiptune, synthwave, IDM, and EBM are all genres under Dead Agent's electronic belt. Back in 2016 Dead Agent released their debut album "Fight Like a Robot". Since the quarantine has freed up the producer's time, they have begun to remix and remaster the debut album. Therefore "Fight Like a Robot V2" has surfaced. This release features both the new, remastered tracks, the original album for comparison, as well as four remixes from The Joy Thieves, Stahlschlag, Decent News, and Tapedrive. At this point I am unsure if there are more words I can use to either talk about or explain who Red Mecca is and what they do. To keep it simple the darkwave project consists of Jan and Susanne and the project has quite the impressive discography. The duo have released a brand new single titled 'The New Way'; despite shows and festivals being cancelled, Red Mecca found their creative output at an all time high during this period. Dawnrazer - 'Crisis'
If you thought that we were only going to have one anime inspired synthwave release in this list you are dead wrong. Dawnrazer is a project hailing from Tokyo, Japan and recently released their new EP "Crisis". The three track EP is hilariously described as "Lo-fi beats to watch the apocalypse to". If you're edging for some more you can always step back to their March 2020 EP "Credo!" as well. You can listen to them here:
Caustic Reverie - "The Flooded Assembly"
Just like a ton of other artists right now who are stuck at home, Caustic Reverie has taken to musical output to stop insanity from settling in. This comes in the form of a nine track album titled "The Flooded Assembly". Dark ambient and drone tones are the key aspects of Caustic Reverie. Stream / purchase directly below:
kissdoomfate - 'INNOCENCE'
kissdoomfate (or KDF for short) has released a brand new single / music video titled 'INNOCENCE'. The project combines some darker pop aesthetics with plenty of glitchy effects and electronic bliss thrown in to deviate from the standard radio spiel. Cassetter - 'Nexus (feat. Mari Kattman)'
Mari Kattman is one of the best vocalists in the electro scene appearing on who-knows-how-many singles from various artists. So, pairing her with synthwave / electro producer Cassetter for their new single is a collaboration that's amazing. Not as hard or as dark as the standard cyberpunk inspired, synthwave track from Cassetter, it's a lighter, dance-friendly movement that lasts a little over four-minutes. This is an aggrotech cover of the song sung by Ursula from the Disney classic The Little Mermaid. It also features Galen Waling of PIG and Lords of Acid on drums. This is the project's debut single and can be streamed directly below:

I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016.
