Incentive - "20200523"
Industrial project Incentive has not calmed down on the livestream performances. This also means that we get more livestream releases from the project. "20200523" was recorded during the cwad006 streaming event (with the video available at YouTube) and can also be streamed / purchased below:

FRKSE - "Desecration Anxiety II"
If you are in the mood for some noise and power electronics then do we have a release for you; FRKSE's new album "Desecration Anxiety II" is out via Iron Lung Records. This fourteen track album has been released in both digital and limited edition LP formats. You can check it out directly below:

Jesus AntiChrist - "Awake, Too Late"
Industrial rock outfit Jesus AntiChrist has their upcoming album "Awake, Too Late" coming out on June 1st, 2020. Despite that fact, the whole album is available to currently stream on Bandcamp so you get to check it out in its entirety before you buy it. In terms of what you can expect I can tell you that this industrial rock album tends to stay on the noisy side of things rather than the alternative. Take a listen to it below and see what you think:

Elz and the Cult - "Bloodline"
Industrial / goth project from Istanbul, Turkey Elz and the Cult has released their second full length album "Bloodline". The twelve track album has been released in both digital and CD formats though, due to the current pandemic shipping is limited. So if you order it you might not see it for quite some time. You can stream / purchase the album directly below:

Hiemis - "Radix"
Hiemis returns on record label Noctivagant for a brand new album titled "Radix" which focuses on the creation of cathedrals as well as the controversial alchemist Fulcanelli. While the history behind the album eludes me (there's a small passage on the album's Bandcamp page about it), you can check out the dark ambient and drone release directly below:

Statiqbloom - "Asphyxia Remixed"
Industrial project Statiqbloom has given the remix treatment to their album "Asphyxia" with this collection of alternate mixes. Contributors include Kontravoid, Star Eyes, Multiple Man, and more. You can check out the eight track release directly below:

From The Mouth Öv Belial - 'Vagrant Siren'
Experimental modular synthesizer project From The Mouth Öv Belial has released a brand new single titled 'Vagrant Siren'. If you're in the mood for some incredibly odd noises and claustrophobic, sci-fi-like noises then this might be right up your alley. You can stream it directly below:

TIJ - "Gig Economy"
Barry Snaith is the solo founder of TIJ but also one-half of the project m1nk whose debut album released last year to some acclaim. The producer went on to create TIJ as a solo project and has released his first album under the name via Seja Records. It's a general mix of post-punk and darkwave music but it's worth a shot. Check out the full album directly below:

Death Hags - 'Insomnia'
While not strictly under the dark banner that we normally like to cover, Death Hags has been a mainstay on Brutal for a little bit of time now. Their noise pop procedures and psychedelic twists have a warped view of reality for a boggling procession of music. That said, the project has just released a brand new music video for their song 'Insomnia' off of their new album "Big Grey Sun #2". You can check out the music video below and you can purchase the album HERE.

Dark-o-matic - "A Cage With The Door Wide Open"
Dark synthpop project Dark-o-matic has scored another digital EP on record label skyQode titled "A Cage With The Door Wide Open". The EP contains the title track as well as three remixes from Elektronnoe Oblako, Norderney, and Mr. L3thΔl. A live piano version of the song also appears as the final song on the album. You can stream / purchase the EP directly below:

Heat Ray - 'Heat Ray'
A newcomer to the synthwave scene, Heat Ray has released their debut, self-titled album on Bandcamp. Taking inspiration from science-fiction films and with cover art straight out of a retro-futuristic eighties move about space exploration and the horrors encountered within, the album has been released in both CD and digital formats. You can purchase / stream the album directly below:

Shed Skin - "Carrion[U]_b"
This oddly titled album comes courtesy of experimental industrial producer Shed Skin whose music we just recently covered. As with their last release, the album is out in both limited edition cassette and digital formats. The project has another album coming out shortly. You can stream it directly below:

Strange Energies - "Aftertouch Infusion"
Coming off of Werkstatt Recordings is this small little analog synth EP from Strange Energies. As per usual with releases on Werkstatt Recordings, this release is available in super limited edition formats with only six CDs and six cassettes available worldwide. Listen / grab it directly below:

Neeq Serene - 'The Others'
Blending several prominent genres of the underground scene such as trip-hop, IDM, gothic, and neo-folk, Neeq Serence is a harmonious project that's currently working on their debut EP. Pandemic pending we might see the release of this EP later down the line. For now, we have received a look into what Neeq Serence is capable of with their song 'The Others'; it's a slow but powerful song that's as dark as it is dazzling. Check it out:

Snog - 'Ball and Chain'
What begins off as something of a Disney-like fever dream turns into quite a statement against reality and corporate work forces. It is interesting to say the very least and the animation is wonky and all over the place. Nonetheless, if you're in the mood for some good music and a video that thinks out-of-the-box you can stream the song below. 'Ball and Chain' was taken off of Snog's album "Lullabies for the Lithium Age" which can be purchased HERE.

Precious Child - 'Coming Down'
I could describe the video / single that Precious Child just released, but why do that when there's this awesome quote from the artist instead? Precious Child stated, "With the help of friends, in 2015 I lit oil and gasoline fires atop a derelict aqueduct deep in the forest of rural Maryland. There, we filmed a literal and metaphorical vignette of a dead hero’s resurrection, ritual, and marriage to their Jungian Shadow. Banked until today, it is the music video for 'Coming Down'. Music and visual vibes are the 2018 film Mandy meets Velvet Underground." The song will appear on their upcoming album "heart.gif" due out in 2020.

Thrillsville - 'Lockdown'
Like so many before and probably after them, Thrillsville is one such project whose lockdown is bearing fruit in the form of creative expression. This darkwave / industrial pop project has just released a single named after the current situation the world finds themselves in. Alas, you can check out the single directly below:

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
