We have created our first official Spotify playlist! Amazing, Legendary, and Beyond highlights almost every single album that has been rated a 9 or higher on Brutal Resonance regardless of genre. A huge mix of industrial, synthpop, EBM, dark ambient, synthwave, post-punk, darkwave, and more awaits. Three-hundred and sixty-nine songs in total. We took one song from each release.

Now, there may be some albums missing from the list. This may be due to me being 1) unable to find your release on Spotify or 2) the album being unavailable on Spotify. If you ever received a score that's a 9 or higher from us and don't see your name on the list, get in touch and we'll add you! I plan on creating more playlists as time goes on. I'm thinking I'll make playlists for everything rated from a 7 to an 8.5, 5 to a 6.5, and 4.5 and lower respectively. I think it's pretty cool to catalog a bunch of our reviews on Spotify; gives our audience to see what we think of certain albums.

Now, the reviews on Brutal Resonance go all the way back to 2002. Some of these reviews I personally don't agree with from other writers; hell, there are some reviews I don't agree with that I personally wrote. Centhron's "Rotersand", for example, I gave a 9.5 out of 10 in 2012. I still enjoy the album, but a 9.5? Nah, nah, nah. But I also find this to be a bit of a retrospective; how my tastes and opinions have changed throughout the years. I still stand by 90% of what I said in past reviews and have no gripes with myself. But then there's that 10% that makes me cringe.

Either way, I hope you find some new tunes to blast to.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
