VACATION TIME. Well, at least for the next four or five days. I will be gone away from all the industrial music and other underground dark music that I so thoroughly enjoy for the next couple of days. I will be enjoying a hotel room with a Jacuzzi and will hopefully have a bottle of fine wine. I hate wine but holding a glass of that might just make me feel like a fancy motherfucker. But, feel free to blow up our inboxes while I'm gone so I have plenty of shit to catch up on when I get back. Anyway, here's your weekly catch up!

REVIEWS.

Everyone who's anyone knows about PIG's long awaited return to the industry with his upcoming album The Gospel and we already reviewed it. The awesome album from the Lord of Lard garnered a fantastic 8 out of 10. Respectively scoring in that high territory was the synthwave genius Electric Dragon whose album Covenant completely floored me.

Reactor7x finally debuted their long awaited album Illusion of Chaos and it's a grand aggrotech fiesta which scored a 7.5 out of 10. Recently signed to Progress Productions and releasing their newest album came Lucifer's Aid with New To Reality who also scored a 7.5 with their minimal EBM sound. Famine Harvest just scored a half point lower than these two with an industrial/witch house blend with Suncrusher.

Scoring in the lower territories were Pride and Fall and Noctilucant. Pride and Fall had hits and misses on their most recent album Red For The Dead - Black For The Mourning which resulted them gaining a 6 out of 10. Scoring a 5 out of 10 was Noctilucant with Oblivion To You All. While they have the talent to become a great dark ambient project, they need to get away from stereotypes to fully evolve.

FEATURES AND NEWS.

We premiered More Ephemerol's new music video for their track '4TH STRIKE' and it was an absolute acid trip. This is also the dude from the band Chiildren which I reviewed a bit back, so keep that in mind. On the other hand, Horizon of the Mute released a new lyric video which we showcased a bit back. So take wind of that if you're in the mood for some Finnish goodness.

That's all for this week. I'll see you at the tail end of next week. Cheers!

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
