When you combine the talents of doom metal drummer Dom Smith from Seep Away and punk rock guitarist Kreecha from TC6 you somehow wind up with The THING, a York based industrial/doom/drone project formed by the latter. Quoting bands such as Sunn O))) and Godflesh as some of their influences, the THING has released their debut album Nightmare For Children (And Other Stories) for free on Soundcloud as of today. The thirty minute album drives through lo-fi guitars and metallic drums, to subliminal and unholy drone segments filled with uncanny prayer and whispers of the darkest desires man could derive. You can stream and download the soundtrack directly below for free, so go ahead and grab some free music.

The THING has currently announced that they are working on the next installment of Predicted Psychosis titled Now We Are SixSixSix.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
