the first week of our countdown is already gone, and we are going to unveil today #17, where we find a real underdog in this little competition, which already ranked above several household names and show a lot of potential for the future: I'm talking about the UK act KOMMAND+KONTROL, the self-styled "gentlemen of electronica", and their fourth EP 'It's Hz'.

Not shy of mixing filthy hard electro with guitars, and not afraid of bringing to the sleepy industrial crowds a sound that owes a lot to the deadmau5 lesson whilst retaining its own identity, David Chapman has been brewing a killer mix of beats and synths that are sure to keep every club happy and bouncy all night long.

'It's Hz' is definitely aimed at the dancefloor, and maybe this is both its best and worst characteristic: I would personally love to hear K+K do something different that "just" club tunes.

But that's what a full-length album is for, right?
So keep showing support to these guys, which are completely self-produced and self-distributed, by going to their gigs (and they do pull out a killer show!) and buying their music (available at http://kommandkontrol.bandcamp.com), and a proper album will surely suface sometimes soon!

Suggested listening: "It's Hz (F65.51)", "Exceed-Excel (Voxless)", "Gods+Monsters".
