Spheric's days as a producer within the techno genre goes so far back as to 1990 to 1993 in Los Angeles where they worked under the moniker Ixian. Time passed and the music stopped, but their passion for the genre never left their heart. Thus Spheric re-emerged after a long-hiatus with a desire and itch to recreate the same emotions they felt when they first heard experimental electronic sounds in both the post-punk era and underground warehouse parties in LA. After having released music in the modern age under multiple names (Temaut, Sullen Fate, Ixian) on record labels such as Obseqvivm Records, RND.R, and Ōtomo Trax, it's safe to say that Spheric has made a wildly successful return. This is without saying that they've also remixed the likes of Zwaremachine (much love to you, brother), Walk Onto Sun, Machines With Human Skin, Mellow Code, Terrorfakt, Stahlschlag, and define.human with more on the way.

Spheric's most recent release under the Temaut "Hidden Ancients" comes by way of the previously mentioned German record label Obseqvivm Records. Hard techno, dark techno - whichever way you wish to describe the near-future beats of Temaut's output, there's no denying that there are years of experience behind "Hidden Ancients". Whether it's the atmospheric build-up in the seven-minute monster that is 'Behind The Battleline' or the ominous undertones in the opening track 'Once Were', Temaut is an experimental beat-driven beast. We at Brutal Resonance are proud to premiere Temaut's latest album for all to enjoy. Hit that play button:

Temaut's "Hidden Ancients" is available in digital formats on Bandcamp for €7 EUR which is a cheap price for the amount of music you're getting on this album. It's worth every penny.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
