The mysterious and occult project NNHMN got their start in 2018 when duo Lee and Michal Laudarg began recording their first renditions of what was to become their titular project pronounced "nonhuman". Their recording bore fruit in the form of "second castle", a five track EP which was released via German beased label k-dreams records on March 6th, 2019. The hypnotic atmosphere, cool electronics, and overall mythical sounding art gave way to professional praise and the start of a devoted following.

Not the type to stop their creative output, NNHMN swiftly put their talents together and crafted their debut album "Church of No Religion". This album analyzes and explores the question of religion by asking, "What is left of the greatest longing of humankind?" through sonic grooves and darkened soundscapes. With that being said, NNHMN has taken their music to video format. We at Brutal Resonance are proud to partner with NNHMN to deliver their music video for 'Häxan'. You can stream the music video directly below:

I've always been taken with vocalists who have been singing in a glossolalia manner because I have been singing in tongues for a very long time now, it was since as far back as I can remember.  Throughout this abstraction, a new pocket of existence opens up, and then magic is being born  - magic as a form of ritual practice as a psycho-dramatic catharsis to focus one's emotional energy for a specific purpose  - the idea that forces could be manipulated through "purely emotional" rather than intellectual acts.

As a child, I was a loner and mostly was reading a lot (the likes of Edgar Allan Poe or Ursula K.Le Guin were my favourites back then).  I grew up among the mysterious architectural artifacts of my birthplace. This city was taken over by Poland from the no-longer-existing Prussian territory.  I remember loving the ruins and closed churches nobody wanted to talk about. As a child, I was often present during the rehearsals of my father's choir; they sung a very strange repertoire - the old military / war songs mixed with liturgical ones - so, I guess it has formed me, in a way. When coming back home from those evening rehearsals I used to sing my own vocalizations in the evenings up there - towards the cathedral top fascinated by its resonance and reverb. -NNHMN

NNHMN has been released in digital, CD, and limited edition Chrome cassette formats. You can purchase your copy of the album HERE.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
