Various Artists - Extreme Women in the Dark Future

I will say this to get if off my chest , I am not a fan of female vocals so I was a bit skeptical to the Various Artist album 'Extreme Women in the Dark Future' and after the first song I thought "oh shit I hope there are some good tracks on this album at least or I don't know what I'll do". Luckily there were quite a few good songs actually.

The album is a mix of punk/industrial/electro/EBM with only female vocals (which the title clearly states). There are some really nice tracks on this album with good quality and sound and some that are just.... you can fill in the word you might think I should have written. The main problems with the tracks that are bad is that the vocals are very low so you can't almost hear them and well on some like the first tracks I thought my ears would fall of because of the really bad "singing".

Either way I think this is a pretty solid release and something fresh in this scene where mostly males dominate. Want something new and something different? Well then go buy this album and support the hard working girls that made these tracks! Mar 29 2010
