Cyclogenesis Darkwave, Goth Spider Lilies Spider Lilies is a female vocal based gothic/electro band from the US with it's roots from the band The Crüxshadows. This is your typical goth/electro band with darkwave influenses which I'm not usually that fond of, but this is a exception for me. I really like the female vocals which feels very deep and filled with feelings. You have some very different tracks here "Metaphor" feels very The Crüxshadows inspired in all aspects while the track "Mirror in the dark" feels very gripping and touches me in a way I can't really describe. The voice is perfectly accompanied by the distorted guitars and violins. I think this album is perfect for all of you who like the darkwave sound and female vocals. It's not a party track but it's more suited for when you might want to just relax and listen to some soft music. You have some really strong tracks and then you have some more mediocre tracks. What this band needs is to work a bit more on the music and try to evolve it a bit more and try to make the music their own because the vocals are really nice but sometimes it outshines the music a bit too much. 450
