Pulseborg - RE:EV
Pulseborg is an Old school, Anhalt EBM band from Argentina, the band is a duo formed in 2011. RE:EV is their first EP and it contains 5 tracks, it was released 8 March 2012.
Some tracks are in English while others like "Despierta" and "Irreversible" are sung in Spanish. These two are also the tracks I like best on the EP, they have a better flow and sound, the Spanish language brings another melody into the otherwise very blunt music.
All in all this EP is a major let down. Pulseborg needs to go back into the studio and put in a lot more work in music as well as vocals. Making simple music with monotonous basslines doesn't make good Old School EBM.
I do believe there are good intentions behind the mess though and as I mentioned before the lyrics in Spanish brings a new dimension. More work, more heart and I'll give it another try. Apr 22 2012
