Long-Distance Side Trip Electro, Industrial mind.area 'Long-Distance Side Trip' is the debut full-length album from German mind.area. The project somewhat reminds me of Kraftwerk mixed with the newer Skinny Puppy. Travelling melodies and short cut beats. The best parts of the album is when the Travelling melodies goes for a break and things get a bit more straight forward and hard hitting. The second track "Being Suffering" is the best example of this and I truly like that track. "Proposition (Reconstructed)" and "Sap" are also two favourites. Otherwise the tracks have some better parts and some worse parts that are keeping them unbalanced. All I can hope for is that mind.area will stick what he does best; because the three tracks I mentioned is really great. 350
